petitions
A. Candidates for election to the board of directors of a district shall be
nominated by a petition that is signed by not less than two hundred qualified electors of
the county in which the candidate resides and that is filed as prescribed by title 16,
chapter 3.
B. The names of candidates for election to the board of directors of a district
shall be included on the general election ballot of the county in which the candidate
resides, without party designation, and the candidates receiving the highest number of
votes for the number of directors to be elected from such county shall be declared
elected. The manner of voting and conducting the elections for directors of a district
shall conform to the provisions of the law relating to the general election of county
officers.
