{"id":349,"date":"2010-04-08T03:38:30","date_gmt":"2010-04-08T09:38:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/law.onecle.com\/?p=349"},"modified":"2015-08-07T00:13:44","modified_gmt":"2015-08-07T06:13:44","slug":"california-vehicle-code-22658","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/law.onecle.com\/blog\/2010\/04\/08\/california-vehicle-code-22658\/","title":{"rendered":"California Vehicle Code 22658"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/law.onecle.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/cvc-22658.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"CVC 22658\" width=\"400\" height=\"533\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-350\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I was walking around Mountain View and wondered what <a href=\"http:\/\/law.onecle.com\/california\/vehicle\/22658.html\">CVC 22658A<\/a> referred to on the Parking Restricted sign.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The owner or person in lawful possession of private property, including an association of a common interest development as defined in Section 1351 of the Civil Code, may cause the removal of a vehicle parked on the property to a storage facility that meets the requirements of subdivision (n) under any of the following circumstances:<\/p>\n<p .(1) There is displayed, in plain view at all entrances to the property, a sign not less than 17 inches by 22 inches in size, with lettering not less than one inch in height, prohibiting public\nparking and indicating that vehicles will be removed at the owner's expense, and containing the telephone number of the local traffic law enforcement agency and the name and telephone number of each towing company that is a party to a written general towing authorization agreement with the owner or person in lawful possession of the property. The sign may also indicate that a citation may also be issued for the violation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Interesting.  I wonder if the sign complies with CVC 22658 because it requires that the sign contain &#8220;the telephone number of the local traffic law enforcement agency.&#8221;  While the sign does list the phone number of the Mountain View Police Department as 415-903-6344, the sign is quite dated since Mountain View left the 415 area code for the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Area_code_650\">650 area code<\/a> permanently on January 31, 1998.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was walking around Mountain View and wondered what CVC 22658A referred to on the Parking Restricted sign.
