Title XXIX PUBLIC HEALTHChapter 381 PUBLIC HEALTH: GENERAL PROVISIONS381.0017 Purchase, lease, and sale of real property.-- (1) The department may purchase, lease, or otherwise acquire land and buildings and take a deed thereto in the name of the state, for the use and benefit of the department, subject to available appropriations therefor, when the acquisition is necessary to the efficient accomplishment of the purposes of this chapter. (2) The department may sell, lease, or convey in the name of the state for the use and benefit of the department any land and buildings owned by the state for the use and benefit of the department, which lands and buildings are no longer necessary for carrying out the purposes of this chapter. (3) Title is confirmed in the department to any real estate which has heretofore been conveyed or attempted to be conveyed to the former Division of Health of the department.
