General Laws of Massachusetts - Chapter 266 Crimes Against Property - Section 59 Simple larceny; embezzlement from voluntary association

Section 59. Whoever embezzles or fraudulently converts, or secretes with intent to embezzle or fraudulently convert, money, goods or property or any part thereof which has been delivered to him, which may be the subject of larceny and which belong to any organization of the volunteer militia, post of the Grand Army of the Republic, or other voluntary association, shall be guilty of simple larceny, although he is a member of such organization or voluntary association and, as such, entitled to an interest in the property thereof. In a prosecution under this section, it shall be sufficient to describe such organization or association by the name by which it is generally known and as a voluntary association.
