Sec. 4c. The authority may provide in its rules and regulations either or both of the following prohibitions and penalties: (a) A person who knowingly submits or prepares for submission to the authority a false statement, representation, or certification is guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or a fine of not more than $500.00, or both. Each violation constitutes a separate and distinct offense. (b) A person who knowingly tampers with or alters a monitoring device or process, causing inaccurate readings or results, is guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or a fine of not more than $500.00, or both. Each violation constitutes a separate and distinct offense.
