MICHIGAN VEHICLE CODE (EXCERPT)
Act 300 of 1949

257.3 "Axle" defined.

Sec. 3.

"Axle" means the common axis of rotation of 1 or more wheels whether power driven or freely rotating, and whether in 1 or more segments and regardless of the number of wheels carried thereon.
