Laws Section 29.28 Act 207 of 1941 29.28 Display of certificate; maintenance and inspection of records; recertification; fees. Sec. 28. (1) A firm certified under section 26 shall display the certificate issued by the bureau or a duplicate of that certificate at each location where the firm conducts business. (2) A firm certified under section 26 shall maintain a record of the installation, testing, service, inspection, maintenance, modification, and documentation of each fire alarm system or fire suppression system the firm installed, tested, modified, inspected, serviced, maintained, or documented, pursuant to rules promulgated by the bureau. A copy of the record shall be kept in the building or other location acceptable to the bureau in which the system has been installed. The owner, operator, or a designated representative of the owner or operator of the building shall make the record available for inspection by the bureau during normal business hours. (3) A firm required to be certified under section 26 shall secure recertification every 3 years and pay a fee of $150.00 for the recertification. (4) The fees specified in this section and sections 26 and 29 shall be paid to the bureau for implementation of sections 26 to 33.
