Sec. 7. (1) The members of the board of managers shall meet annually at the facility on the second Wednesday in March of each year, and at the annual meeting shall elect of their own body, a chairperson, a chairperson pro tempore, a secretary, a treasurer, and a clerk, who shall hold office for 1 year and until a successor is elected and qualified. However, instead of electing a treasurer and a clerk, the board may appoint the adjutant of the facility to perform the duties of the treasurer and the clerk and other duties as prescribed by the board. (2) The business which the board of managers may perform shall be conducted at a public meeting of the board held in compliance with Act No. 267 of the Public Acts of 1976, being sections 15.261 to 15.275 of the Michigan Compiled Laws. Public notice of the time, date, and place of the meeting shall be given in the manner required by Act No. 267 of the Public Acts of 1976.
