Nevada Revised Statutes Section 679B.180 - Insurance

Enforcement.

1. The Commissioner may invoke the aid of the courts through injunction or other proper process, mandatory or otherwise, to enjoin any existing or threatened violation of any provision of this Code, or to enforce any proper order made by him or action taken by him.

2. If the Commissioner has reason to believe that any person has violated any provision of this Code, or other law applicable to insurance operations, for which criminal prosecution in his opinion would be in order, he shall give the information relative thereto to the appropriate district attorney or to the Attorney General. The district attorney or Attorney General shall promptly institute such action or proceedings against such person as in his opinion the information may require or justify.

3. Except as otherwise provided in this Code, the Attorney General shall act as legal counsel to the Division and the Commissioner in all matters pertaining to the administration and enforcement of this Code.
