* § 97-xxx. Agriculture in the classroom fund. 1. There is hereby
established in the joint custody of the state comptroller and the
commissioner of taxation and finance a fund to be known as the
"agriculture in the classroom fund".
2. Such fund shall consist of all moneys collected pursuant to section
four hundred four-s of the vehicle and traffic law, and all other moneys
credited or transferred thereto from any other fund or source pursuant
to law, provided, however that any funds necessary to complete design
and production of the distinctive license plates authorized by section
four hundred four-s of the vehicle and traffic law shall first be
allocated for such purposes.
3. Moneys of the fund shall be expended for the purposes of providing
funding for agriculture in the classroom programs conducted in
cooperation with the department of agriculture and markets. Moneys shall
be paid out of the fund on the audit and warrant of the state
comptroller on vouchers approved by the commissioner of agriculture and
markets. Any interest received by the comptroller on moneys on deposit
in the agriculture in the classroom fund shall be retained in and become
part of such fund.
