Enactment. Unless otherwise noted, the provisions of Title
12 were added December 3, 1993, P.L.479, No.70, effective in 60
days.
Special Provisions in Appendix. See sections 2 and 4 of Act
70 of 1993 in the appendix to this title for special provisions
relating to statutory construction and applicability.
See section 1 of Act 12 of 2004 in the appendix to this title
for special provisions relating to legislative findings and
declarations.

PRELIMINARY PROVISIONS

101. Definitions.
Enactment. Chapter 1 was added February 12, 2004, P.L.99,
No.12, effective immediately.
§ 101. Definitions.
Subject to additional definitions contained in subsequent
provisions of this title which are applicable to specific
provisions of this title, the following words and phrases when
used in this title shall have the meanings given to them in this
section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
"Department." The Department of Community and Economic
Development of the Commonwealth.
"Secretary." The Secretary of Community and Economic
Development.
