Enactment. Unless otherwise noted, the provisions of Title
13 were added November 1, 1979, P.L.255, No.86, effective
January 1, 1980.
Saved from Suspension. Pennsylvania Rule of Civil Procedure
for District Justices No. 482, adopted November 7, 1988,
provided that section 1101 et seq. shall not be deemed suspended
or affected. Rules 401 through 482 relate to execution of
judgments for the payment of money rendered by district
justices.
Special Provisions in Appendix. See Act 86 of 1979 in the
appendix to this title for special provisions relating to
legislative intent and effective date.
Short Titles of Implementing Statutes. Section 1 of Act 97
of 1992 provided that the act shall be known and may be cited as
the Uniform Commercial Code Modernization Act.
Section 1 of Act 44 of 1996 provided that the act shall be
known and may be cited as the Uniform Commercial Code
Modernization Act of 1996.
Section 1 of Act 18 of 2001 provided that the act shall be
known and may be cited as the Uniform Commercial Code
Modernization Act of 2001.

§ 1101. Short title of title.
This title shall be known and may be cited as the Uniform
Commercial Code.
