§ 7504. Appointment of special policemen.
(a) Offense defined.--A person is guilty of a misdemeanor of
the third degree if he, having authority to do so, appoints as a
special deputy, or policeman, to preserve the public peace and
prevent or quell public disturbances, any person who is not a
citizen of this Commonwealth.
(b) Exception.--Subsection (a) of this section shall not
apply to policemen, constables or specials appointed by
municipalities for municipal purposes.
(c) Organization penalty.--If any corporation, company or
association is convicted under this section, it shall be
sentenced to pay a fine not exceeding $5,000.
