§ 1709. Law enforcement assistance.
A law enforcement officer who, upon demand of any
commissioner or inspector of registration or of the secretary,
fails to render demanded assistance in the maintenance of peace
and in the making of arrests without warrant as provided in this
part or who intentionally hinders or attempts to hinder any
commissioner, inspector of registration or the secretary in the
performance of a duty commits a misdemeanor of the second degree
and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not
more than $5,000 or to imprisonment for not more than two years,
or both.
