Enactment. Chapter 18 was added January 31, 2002, P.L.18,
No.3, effective in 45 days.
§ 1801. Attorney General.
(a) Investigation.--The secretary shall investigate alleged
violations of sections 1323 (relating to application with
driver's license application) and 1325 (relating to government
agencies) and report apparent violations to the Attorney
General.
(b) Prosecution.--Under section 205(a)(6) of the act of
October 15, 1980 (P.L.950, No.164), known as the Commonwealth
Attorneys Act, the Attorney General shall have prosecutorial
jurisdiction over violations reported under subsection (a).
(c) Notifications.--The Attorney General shall notify the
State Treasurer in accordance with section 1804(b) (relating to
relief) if the secretary fails to notify the State Treasurer as
required by section 1803(b) (relating to power of department).
