                     ORGANIZATION OF APPELLATE COURTS

        Enactment.  Chapter 5 was added July 9, 1976, P.L.586,
     No.142, effective 60 days from the date of final enactment of
     the act of April 28, 1978 (P.L.202, No.53).

     § 501.  Supreme Court.
        The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania shall consist of the Chief
     Justice of Pennsylvania and six associate justices. The court
     shall be the highest court of this Commonwealth and in it shall
     be reposed the supreme judicial power of the Commonwealth.
