     901.  Short title and scope of chapter.

        Enactment.  Chapter 9 was added December 19, 1996, P.L.1158,
     No.177, effective in 60 days.
     § 901.  Short title and scope of chapter.
        (a)  Short title of chapter.--This chapter shall be known and
     may be cited as the Municipal Reapportionment Act.
        (b)  Scope of chapter.--This chapter applies to the following
     entities:
            (1)  Municipalities.
            (2)  Units of government created and existing under
        Subpart E of Part III (relating to home rule and optional
        plan government).
            (3)  Similar general purpose units of local government
        created by statute.
