§ 6116. Payment by credit or debit card.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this title, the
department is authorized to accept payment of a fee by a credit
or debit card, even though such payment may not be accompanied
by the required documents if the department determines that
payment by credit or debit card will improve service to the
public without adversely affecting the security and accuracy of
departmental records. If a payment is made by a credit or debit
card, the department may, in addition to the fee prescribed,
assess an additional service fee.
