§ 12.033. MULTIPLE LICENSES. (a) In this section:
(1) "Component license" means a license issued by the
department that is consolidated under this section.
(2) "Grocer" means a person whose business consists
primarily of the retail sale of food for human consumption.
(b) A grocer who holds more than one type of license issued
by the department may obtain from the department a single
consolidated license. A consolidated license authorizes each of
the activities of the component licenses.
(c) The department by rule shall implement a program for the
issuance of a consolidated license under this section. The rules
shall include provisions for:
(1) a fee schedule for the consolidated license that
considers:
(A) the cost of operating each component license
program; and
(B) the economic efficiency gained by the
department through the operation of a consolidated license program;
(2) the suspension or revocation of a consolidated
license for a violation of a rule or statute authorizing one of the
component licenses;
(3) the combination of all inspections required for
the component licenses into a single inspection; and
(4) any other provision the department determines is
necessary to implement this section.
