§ 13.255. CERTIFICATE. (a) A public weigher, whether elected or appointed, or deputy public weigher may not officially weigh a commodity unless the weigher has obtained from the department a certificate of authority. (b) A state public weigher must submit a nonrefundable fee, as provided by department rule, with the application for a certificate of authority. A county public weigher or a deputy public weigher must submit a fee, as provided by department rule, with the application for a certificate of authority.
