§ 78.012. FILING PETITION. (a) The petition must be filed in the commissioners court of the county in which the largest part of the district is located. (b) The person filing the petition shall deposit $500 in cash with the county clerk of the county in which the petition is filed. Acts 1981, 67th Leg., p. 1210, ch. 388, § 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1981.
