Art. 2.09. Registered Office and Registered Agent A. Each corporation shall have and continuously maintain in this State: (1) A registered office which may be, but need not be, the same as its place of business. (2) A registered agent, which agent may be either an individual resident in this State or a domestic corporation, or other entity organized under the laws of this state or authorized to transact business in this State that has a business office identical with each such registered office that is generally open during normal business hours to accept service of process and otherwise perform the functions of a registered agent.
