§ 200.159. LIABILITY FOR DESIGNATING OWNER OF SHARES. A real estate investment trust or an officer, trust manager, employee, or agent of the real estate investment trust may not be held liable for considering a person to be the owner of a share for a purpose described by Section 200.151, regardless of whether the person possesses a certificate for those shares. Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 182, § 1, eff. Jan. 1, 2006.
