§ 252.017. CHAPTER CONTROLLING. (a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), the only provisions of this code that apply to or govern a nonprofit association are the provisions of this chapter. (b) Chapters 1 and 4 and, if a nonprofit association designates an agent for service of process, Subchapter E, Chapter 5, apply to a nonprofit association. Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 182, § 1, eff. Jan. 1, 2006.
