§ 9.008. EFFECT OF REGISTRATION. (a) The registration of
a foreign entity other than a foreign limited liability partnership
is effective when the application filed under Chapter 4 takes
effect. The registration remains in effect until the registration
terminates, is withdrawn, or is revoked.
(b) Except in a proceeding to revoke the registration, the
secretary of state's issuance of an acknowledgment that the entity
has filed an application is conclusive evidence of the authority of
the foreign filing entity to transact business in this state under
the entity's name or under another name stated in the application,
in accordance with Section 9.004(b)(1).
(c) Subchapter K, Chapter 152, governs the effect of
registration of a foreign limited liability partnership to transact
business in this state.
