§ 35.05. FILING OF SECURITY INSTRUMENTS AND STATEMENT OF NAME CHANGE, MERGER OR CONSOLIDATION BY SECRETARY OF STATE; FEES. (a) The Secretary of State shall endorse upon any security instrument and any statement of name change, merger, or consolidation deposited for filing in his office, the day and hour of receipt and the file number assigned to it. Such endorsement shall, in the absence of other evidence, be conclusive proof of the time and fact of deposit for filing. (b) The Secretary of State shall retain in his office all security instruments and statements of name change, merger, or consolidation deposited in his office and shall file such in adequate filing devices. (c) The uniform fee for filing and indexing a security instrument, or an instrument supplementary or amendatory thereto, and a statement of name change, merger, or consolidation and for stamping a copy of such documents, furnished by the secured party or the utility, to show the date and place of filing shall be $25.
