§ 35.16. AGENT WRONGFULLY FAILING TO ISSUE BILL OF LADING. (a) An agent of a common carrier may not after lawful demand fail or refuse to issue a bill of lading in accordance with Chapter 7 of this code or a rule of the railroad commission. (b) An agent who violates a provision of Subsection (a) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction is punishable by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six months or by a fine of not more than $200 or by both.
