§ 35.28. WAREHOUSEMAN ISSUING FRAUDULENT WAREHOUSE RECEIPT. (a) A warehouseman, his officer, agent, or employee, may not with intent to defraud issue a warehouse receipt which contains a false statement of fact. (b) A warehouseman, his officer, agent, or employee, who violates Subsection (a) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction is punishable by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than one year or by a fine of not more than $1,000 or by both.
