Art. 102.009. COURT COSTS IN CERTAIN COUNTIES. In counties with a population of 3.3 million or more, the commissioners court may set court costs for persons convicted of a Class C misdemeanor in the justice courts. Court costs set as provided by this article may not exceed $7 for each conviction. Added by Acts 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 269, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1985. Amended by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 669, Sec. 9, eff. Sept. 1, 2001.
