Art. 11.051. FILING FEE PROHIBITED. Notwithstanding any other law, a clerk of a court may not require a filing fee from an individual who files an application or petition for a writ of habeas corpus. Added by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 392, Sec. 1, eff. Aug. 30, 1999.
