Art. 45.032. DIRECTED VERDICT. If, upon the trial of a case in a justice or municipal court, the state fails to prove a prima facie case of the offense alleged in the complaint, the defendant is entitled to a directed verdict of "not guilty." Added by Acts 1969, 61st Leg., p. 1655, ch. 520, Sec. 2, eff. June 10, 1969. Renumbered from Vernon's Ann.C.C.P. art. 45.031 and amended by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 1545, Sec. 30, eff. Sept. 1, 1999.
