§ 21.159. HEARING UNDER CONTINUING CONTRACT. (a) If the
teacher desires to protest the proposed action under Section 21.156
or 21.157, the teacher must notify the board of trustees in writing
not later than the 10th day after the date the teacher receives the
notice under Section 21.158.
(b) A teacher who notifies the board of trustees within the
time prescribed by Subsection (a) is entitled to a hearing as
provided by Subchapter F.
(c) If the teacher does not request a hearing within the
time prescribed by Subsection (a), the board of trustees shall:
(1) take the appropriate action; and
(2) notify the teacher in writing of the action not
later than the 30th day after the date the board sent the notice of
the proposed action under Section 21.158.
