§ 181.007. NOTICE OF QUALIFYING PARTIES. (a) The
secretary of state shall deliver to the authority responsible for
having the official general election ballot prepared in each county
written notice of the name of each party required to nominate by
convention that qualifies to have the names of its nominees placed
on the general election ballot.
(b) The notice shall be delivered at the same time as the
secretary of state's certification of nominees for statewide and
district offices for placement on the general election ballot.
(c) The names of the nominees of a party required to
nominate by convention may not be placed on the ballot without the
notice.
