§ 52.004. FAILURE TO PLACE CANDIDATE'S NAME ON BALLOT. (a) A person commits an offense if the person is responsible for having the official ballot prepared for an election and knowingly fails to place on the ballot the name of a candidate who is entitled to have the candidate's name placed on the ballot. (b) An offense under this section is a Class A misdemeanor. Acts 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 211, § 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1986. Amended by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 864, § 50, eff. Sept. 1, 1997.
