§ 201.003. COMPENSATION. (a) An associate judge shall be paid a salary determined by the commissioners court of the county in which the associate judge serves. (b) If an associate judge serves in more than one county, the associate judge shall be paid a salary as determined by agreement of the commissioners courts of the counties in which the associate judge serves. (c) The associate judge's salary is paid from the county fund available for payment of officers' salaries. (d) This section does not apply to an associate judge appointed under Subchapter B or C. Added by Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 20, § 1, eff. April 20, 1995. Amended by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 1302, § 2, eff. Sept. 1, 1999; Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1258, § 3, eff. Sept. 1, 2003.
