§ 11.101. APPOINTMENT; TERMS; OATH. (a) The Finance Commission of Texas is composed of nine members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate. (b) Members of the finance commission serve staggered terms of six years with the terms of one-third of the members expiring February 1 of each even-numbered year. (c) An appointment to the finance commission must be made without regard to the race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin of the appointee.
