§ 22.006. ADJOURNMENT. (a) The supreme court may adjourn from day to day or for the periods that it deems necessary to the ends of justice and the determination of the business before the court. (b) A suit, process, or matter returned to or pending in the supreme court may not be discontinued because a quorum of the court is not present at the commencement or on any other day of the term. If a quorum of the court is not present on any day of the term, a justice of the court or the bailiff attending the court may adjourn the court from time to time. Acts 1985, 69th Leg., ch. 480, § 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1985.
