§ 411.013. EXPENDITURES, DONATIONS, AND
APPROPRIATIONS. (a) Repealed by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1206,
§ 28, eff. Sept. 1, 1997.
(b) The department may accept donations of money and other
real or personal property from any individual, group, association,
corporation, or governmental agency and may use those donations for
any purpose designated by the donor that furthers the exercise of
duties imposed by law on the department.
(c) Appropriations for the Texas Highway Patrol must be made
from the state highway fund.
(d) The department shall file annually with the governor and
the presiding officer of each house of the legislature a complete
and detailed written report accounting for all funds received and
disbursed by the commission during the preceding fiscal year. The
annual report must be in the form and reported in the time provided
by the General Appropriations Act.
