§ 54.503. QUALIFICATIONS. An associate judge must:
(1) be a citizen of this state;
(2) be at least 25 years of age; and
(3) have practiced law in this state for at least four
years preceding the date of appointment and maintain a license to
practice law in this state during the term of appointment.
