§ 101.004. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF AGING; OTHER
PERSONNEL. (a) The commissioner of health and human services shall
employ an executive director of aging in accordance with Section
531.0056, Government Code. The executive director shall discharge
all executive and administrative functions of the department. The
executive director must be a person with executive ability and
experience in the area of aging.
(b) Salaries and other office expenses are paid with funds
appropriated to the department for those purposes.
(c) The department may accept services performed by other
agencies to accomplish the purposes of this chapter.
