§ 36.001. GENERAL RULEMAKING AUTHORITY. (a) The commissioner may adopt any rules necessary and appropriate to implement the powers and duties of the department under this code and other laws of this state. (b) Rules adopted under this section must have general and uniform application. Added by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 101, § 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1999. Amended by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 206, § 15.01, eff. June 11, 2003.
