§ 38.101. DEFINITIONS. In this subchapter:
(1) "HIV" and "AIDS" have the meanings assigned by
Section 81.101, Health and Safety Code.
(2) "Health benefit plan coverage" means a group
policy, contract, or certificate of health insurance or benefits
delivered, issued for delivery, or renewed in this state by:
(A) an insurance company subject to Chapter 3;
(B) a group hospital service corporation under
Chapter 20;
(C) a health maintenance organization under the
Texas Health Maintenance Organization Act (Chapter 20A, Vernon's
Texas Insurance Code); or
(D) a self-insurance trust or mechanism
providing health care benefits.
