§ 442.118. EXTENSION OF TIME FOR PLEADING; INAPPLICABILITY OF CERTAIN LAWS. (a) The receiver is not required to plead to any action in which the receiver is a proper plaintiff or defendant in any court in this state until the first anniversary of the date the receiver is appointed. (b) Sections 64.033, 64.052, 64.053, and 64.056, Civil Practice and Remedies Code, do not apply to an insolvent insurer being administered under this chapter. Added by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., ch. 727, § 1, eff. April 1, 2007.
