§ 301.061. GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES OF COMMISSION AND
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR. (a) The commission shall provide the public
with a reasonable opportunity to appear before the commission and
speak on any issue under the jurisdiction of the commission.
(b) The executive director shall:
(1) administer this title as provided by rules adopted
by the commission;
(2) oversee and manage:
(A) the daily operation and administrative
affairs of the commission; and
(B) the implementation of commission policies
set by the commission;
(3) coordinate the activities of the commission staff
and hold commission staff accountable for the staff's performance
of its duties;
(4) determine the organization of the agency and
methods of procedure of the agency in accordance with this title;
and
(5) make expenditures necessary for the operation of
this title.
(c) Repealed by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 817, § 9.01(6).
