§ 1.005. DEFINITIONS. In this code: (1) "General-law municipality" means a municipality designated by Chapter 5 as a Type A general-law municipality, Type B general-law municipality, or Type C general-law municipality. (2) "Home-rule municipality" means a municipality designated by Chapter 5 as a home-rule municipality. (3) "Municipality" means a general-law municipality, home-rule municipality, or special-law municipality. (4) "Special-law municipality" means a municipality designated by Chapter 5 as a special-law municipality. Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, § 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1987.
