§ 292.026. TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR FACILITIES IN CERTAIN COUNTIES WITH POPULATIONS OVER 70,000. (a) This section applies only to a county with a population of more than 70,000. (b) The commissioners court of a county may allow the tax assessor-collector to maintain a branch office in a municipality with a population of more than 1,000, other than the county seat. Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, § 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1987.
