§ 43.051. AUTHORITY TO ANNEX LIMITED TO EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION. A municipality may annex area only in its extraterritorial jurisdiction unless the municipality owns the area. Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, § 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1987.
