§ 110.052. PUBLIC MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY. A person is
not eligible for appointment as a public member if:
(1) the person meets the requirements for a license as
a sex offender treatment provider under this chapter; or
(2) the person or the person's spouse:
(A) is registered, certified, or licensed by an
occupational regulatory agency in the field of sex offender
treatment;
(B) is employed by or participates in the
management of a business entity or other organization regulated by
the council or receiving funds from the council;
(C) owns or controls, directly or indirectly,
more than a 10 percent interest in a business entity or other
organization regulated by the council or receiving funds from the
council; or
(D) uses or receives a substantial amount of
tangible goods, services, or funds from the council, other than
compensation or reimbursement authorized by law for council
membership, attendance, or expenses.
