§ 748. PAYMENT BY GUARDIAN OF TAXES OR 
EXPENSES.  Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, a 
probate court in which proceedings to declare heirship are 
maintained may order the payment by the guardian of any and all 
taxes or expenses of administering the estate and may order the sale 
of properties in the ward's estate, when necessary, for the purpose 
of paying the taxes or expenses of administering the estate or for 
the purpose of distributing the estate among the heirs.
