§ 771. GUARDIAN OF ESTATE: POSSESSION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY AND RECORDS. The guardian of an estate, immediately after receiving letters of guardianship, shall collect and take into possession the personal property, record books, title papers, and other business papers of the ward and shall deliver the personal property, books, or papers, of the ward to a person who is legally entitled to that property when the guardianship has been closed or a successor guardian has received letters.
